MADLIB JROCC AND EGON TOUR WRAPS IN PARIS: THE LAST DAY
06.10.09 We made our way back to Paris from Marseilles, arriving at our hotel in the
Montemartre at a reasonable hour. The day was full - a mix at Radio Nova, charcuterie and wine at a nearby
bistro with Blackjoy, Bertrand and Madlib's stalwart record dealer Victor
Kiswell, a stop at Louis Vuitton on the Champs Elysees (where Madlib had to
clarify to a disgruntled Parisian outside that Black Americans can easily
have more disposable income - even when spending dollars - than the a White
French man can), records at Kiswell's place and plates of oysters and a
decent pouilly fume at night.
The next day my girl arrived, and, after hailing a cab for Madlib (not an
easy feat at morning rush hour), we made our way up the steps at the
Montemartre to the Sacre Coure and a week off.
