The second half of Acting, Thinking, Feeling anthology is now available via Now-Again Deluxe – nearly two months ahead of our worldwide street date. This album contains their long out-of-print 1969 (first issued on this label in 2003), the two sides of their Big Yellow 7″ single, the three part song “Acting, Thinking, Feeling” and a series of unreleased tracks discovered by Porter Records’ Luke Mosling – issued here for the first time!

It should come as no surprise to the regular visitor to this site that photographer Eilon Paz’s Dust and Grooves project is one that sits close to our hearts. His photographs of record collectors in their personal spaces are amongst the best we’ve ever seen and his forthcoming book – which you can read more about on the Dust and Grooves website – is some of the most anticipated printed matter we at Now-Again have ever wished for.

Thus, when Paz came to L.A. this week and asked to shoot Egon at his Eagle Rock home, how could he say no? The photos, above and below, are from that shoot and will be part of the book, which features collectors and their collections from the world over.

Out now in limited edition “mini-LP” CD form; available digitally via Now-Again Deluxe subscription service at Drip.fm.

After tracks from Maker Vs. Now Again were used in Entourage, CSI and a series of feature films and documentaries, Maker went back to the lab and created V.2, another boom-bap era hip hop exercise in dusty drum breaks and two bar loops. Again, this accessible series of tracks is clearly made for easy synchronization – but it knocks even harder than the first.

For that reason, we’re making this limited edition (1000 copies manufactured) CD available: after a limited pre-release in Japan, we’ve now rolled it out worldwide. While there are no plans to make a vinyl album at this time, subscribers at Now-Again Deluxe received this album on October 9th. If you subscribe now, it’s one of the three albums you receive in your opening volley. Nice!

Below, we’re offering one of our favorite tracks from the album – a reworking of Atomic Forest co-founder Madhukar Dhas’s “Booboo Lullaby” from our Atomic Forest anthology. “The world is going crazy:” indeed.

A couple of months ago, we announced that both the 6LP and 3CD versions of this anthology – which we’re calling Acting, Thinking, Feeling – are now in production. We’ve now confirmed that both formats will be released worldwide on February 5th, 2013.

As we noted, Included will be the entirety of their AJP-issued album The Stark Reality Discovers Hoagy Carmichael’s Music Shop. This is the first time that this album has been reissued in its entirety – and has been restored and remastered from brand new master tape transfers. The album is now available to our subscribers at Now-Again Deluxe. The second half of our Acting, Thinking, Feeling anthology will be available via Now-Again Deluxe in less than two weeks.
