Phoenix, Arizona based Michael Liggins small catalog of releases on the well-known Mighty Records label can only be described as “peyote-induced funk.” Not that Michael and his multi-cultural band of Mexican, Black and Native Americans were ingesting the magic weed. But it sure seems like they were up to something! Now-Again represents both Michael’s master and publishing rights.
John Terrel’s Knaptown Records, named the nickname of his home city, Indianapolis, released only three 45s, but they are incredible slices of soul, funk and jazz. Now-Again represents both master and publishing of these rare tunes.
Herb Miller’s LAMP Records catalog is one of the Midwest’s most extensive – and consistent – catalogs, and it contains a wealth of music that ranges from hard hitting funk to danceable soul to heavenly gospel. The Ebony Rhythm Band, Amnesty, Pearls and the Vanguards are just some of the legendary bands that saw their first releases on LAMP. Now-Again proudly represents both master and publishing of this large body of work.
Egon has spent years traveling through Indiana, buying records, meeting musicians, and obtaining the rights to catalogs that are small, but essential.
