Videographer Azul Serra filmed Almaz’s first live show at the Festival of World Cultures in Ireland, 2008. Check Seu Jorge and the band performing songs from the forthcoming Seu Jorge and Almaz album: “Juizo Final” by Nelson Cavaquinho, “Cirandar” by Martinho da Vila and Joao de Aquina and “Erarre Humanum Est” by Jorge Ben.

Seu Jorge and Almaz is out in North America on July 27th which coincides with the start of the band’s three week North American tour. The album will be released – with bonus tracks – in Europe on September 14th; a two-week European tour is scheduled for late October.

We’ll be retailing deluxe packages of the album including limited edition tee shirts and posters in the coming month in conjunction with Stones Throw Records.

Brazilian singer and actor Seu Jorge and his band Almaz have signed to Now-Again Records. Their album – Seu Jorge and Almaz – will be released on 07.27.10 in North America to coincide with a sixteen-city North American tour. The first single from the album – a cover of Roy Ayers’ “Everybody Loves The Sunshine” – is out on 12″ vinyl in mid-June.
