Egon’s Stone Cold Psychedelic Soul podcast – a mix around a series of psychedelic ballads and otherwise funky dirge-like songs when Now-Again released Amnesty’s Free Your Mind album in 2007 – is back up at Stones Throw.

We’ve heard Egon’s Turkish Funk podcast is next – but that we cannot yet verify. Stay tuned!

Seu Jorge and Almaz EU Tour 2010: Tomorrow and Friday in Portugal

You saw the pictures of Seu Jorge and Almaz playing to 1500 in London this past Sunday, you know they’re in Spain tonight, and tomorrow and Friday they’ll be playing in Oporto and Lisboa, respectively. Egon’s Funk Archaeology at NPR: Psychedelic India

This month on Egon’s NPR column Funk Archaeology: India’s psychedelic 70s. Five tracks from a little-known subset of what was then – and is now – one of the largest producers of music on the planet. This should serve as a good primer for the forthcoming Psych Funk Sa-Re-Ga! album, due out later this year on the World Psychedelic Funk Classics label.
