Egon’s Pop Up Record Shops at Now-Again In 2025

Egon and the team are hosting a regular series of pop up events throughout 2025 and 2026 at the Now-Again Space in Los Angeles. Our next event Is the return of “Cool” Chris Veltri and his Groove Merchant Records. A transplanting of San Francisco to Los Angeles, for one weekend only.

Chris Veltri’s Groove Merchant
Pop Up Record Shop At Now-Again

November 8th and 9th.
Noon-6
5638 York Blvd, Los Angeles

Our last event was Dave Park and Noel Waggener’s Magic Isle. Noel wrote:

“Right now the powers that be would like us to be divided, powerless. Through the lens of music and culture, we know that people’s natural state is unity. Join us at Now-Again for two days of unity via sound as The Magic Isle returns with 1000’s of fresh arrivals from Africa, Latin America, The Caribbean and beyond.

We travel relentlessly to provide the finest sounds available from around the globe. While we also stock The Magic Isle brick-and-mortar shop in Austin, TX, we reserve their finest stock for our annual pop-ups.”

Also available:

Now-Again Bandcamp Exclusive: The Tropicalia in Furs/Now-Again 2025 Brazilian Vinyl Grab Bag.

This grab bag contains three (3) vintage Brazilian records from Joel Stones’ Tropicalia in Furs x Now-Again 2025 Pop Up Record Shop and a copy of Joel’s essential compilation Brazilian Fuzz Guitar Bananas. A total of four (4) LP’s!

Joel Stones pulled aside these vintage Brazilian LP’s from our recent Tropicalia in Furs pop-up at Now-Again to offer a sampling of his survey into one of the world’s greatest musical scenes for those not able to make the trek to L.A.

These are all Brazilian records: most are Brazilian pressings, and a few are Japanese pressings. While you won’t be getting any Arthur Verocai or Krishnanda in these bags, you’ll get a taste of what Joel considers to be the most worthy vinyl from his home country, and you’ll get to indulge with his amazing compilation of the best in Brazilian psych rock, Brazilian Fuzz Guitar Bananas.

The retail price of these records range from about $15 to $40 each, so each bag of three represents a nice value. We will do our best to inspect each record to ensure you’re getting a clean album – bear in mind that “clean” in Brazil means something around VG to VG+ in traditional record grading parlance. And, unless something crazy happens, like the records are cracked or otherwise damaged, these are one-way sales, with no returns.

About the events:

Egon’s been selling records from his collection at events he’s hosted in Los Angeles for over a decade. What started as a quarterly event in 2014 morphed over the years, and for 2025 he will be hosting at least one event – sometimes two, or three – a month in the 1500 square foot Now-Again space in the Highland Park neighborhood of Los Angeles.

Each time there is a new Now-Again LP released, he’ll open the space. He’s bringing his friends – like DJ Muggs, Chris Veltri from San Francisco’s Groove Merchant, Joel Stones of New York’s Tropicalia In Furs, Mr.Joe Benson from Omaha – and offerings from their collections on a rotating basis.

At each event, the entire Now-Again catalog will be available for a one day discount of 20% less than our normal retail prices. Stay tuned to Egon’s Instagram for more details on this evolving series of vinyl showcases.
